WHO: Target to debut designer Alexander McQueen’s McQ Alexander McQueen for Target collection at St. John’s Center.
WHAT: In celebration of the McQ Alexander McQueen for Target collection launch, Target will open a limited-time-only Target McQ Market. New Yorkers will be given the opportunity to shop the entire McQ for Target collection before it hits stores nationwide on March 4, 2009.
The Target McQ Market will feature booths made of chain link fence, distressed plywood and graffiti covered grates evoking the gritty ambience of Camden Market and nostalgia of a rock ‘n roll club.The Target McQ Market will also feature young NYC artists who will be creating one-of-a-kind pieces using prints, fabrics and embellishments from the McQ Alexander McQueen for Target line.
Ranging in price from $19.99-$129.99, the McQ for Target line includes a variety of edgy seasonal staples including lightweight sweaters, skinny denim, bubble dresses, slim skirts and cuffed shorts. Stand-out pieces include a coated cotton poplin black trench, tattoo print overlay tank and a colorblock one-shoulder dress.
