First Fridays - Chicago

Jumped a plane to Chi-town..

headed over to the Museum of Contemporary Art's First Fridays event to represent our client Amstel Light.

If you dont know about First Fridays, here's the scenario ...

Happy hour takes on a new meaning with First Fridays at the MCA. Relax after a long workweek with a cash bar featuring specialty drinks and free Wolfgang Puck appetizers. Enjoy live music from local DJs, the world’s only iMac G5 digital dating bar, and creation stations right within our open galleries. Each month features an up-and-coming Chicago artist in a preview of the latest UBS 12 x 12: New Artists/New Work exhibition. Keep the festivities going at our after-parties at Chicago’s newest and hottest spots.

The view upon entering the 2nd floor festivites.

some Art ...

and more ..

I thought the silver trees were pretty sweet..

turns out photography is NOT allowed in the exhibiting rooms so I did my best to snap pictures on the sly.

the floor of one of the rooms was made out of records ...

upon entering one of the other rooms there were hay stacks to sit on and a movie screen on the wall. The screen had some suspect trailer trash characters in a short flick. No sound . was enough to make me walk out for fear of having nightmares.

Apparently Macy's was an additional sponsor and were running some sort of a "style star" program ...

fashionable canidates had their photo snapped and posted on the board while guests could put a star on the individual they felt had the best style.

here are the potentials...

and one of the final images I was able to capture before the night wrapped ...
